Kirkgate Market launches online sustainable delivery service

Kirkgate Market will be going online, with a select range of it’s stalls being made available for delivery.

Stalls such as Whitaker’s Farmhouse Eggs & Cheese, Brown’s Sweets and Bluebird Bakery are now all available online following Kirkgate Markets partnership with Good Sixty.

The aim is to offer customers a more convenient way to shop in the market, by allowing people to purchase their goods online for a small delivery fee of £3.50.

Omicron variant a concern for retail staff

Retail staff in Leeds have expressed concern over the Omicron Coronavirus variant, as shops start to get busy with Christmas less than one month away.

With Christmas approaching, the threat to those in the hospitality industry in Leeds has increased as restrictions tighten in the region.

After last years winter lockdown, many businesses suffered financially and were forced to close after continuous problems throughout the pandemic.

Another lockdown during their peak period, would cause many businesses, especially independent, to close.
